My Montessori Mind

This will be my notebook, my open diary for every on to see MY Montessori mind.

In this introduction I would like to write about how I ended up studying Montessori. I started working as an au pair when I was 18 in Ireland. It was a hard and pretty dark au pair experience. The mother was an alcoholic which I didn't find out until after I'd been living with the family for a month which was enough time for me to fall in love with their 4 lovely girls. I stayed for almost a year and learnt a LOT! I continued my au pair experience in Paris, France which eventually grew into nannying and this is where I am now. I've been working with children and families for about 5 years now and it has given me a clear view of what I think is important for a child. To encourage their natural curiosity and to treat them with love and patience. To try and adapt their environment to their individual personalities. All of this I found was greatly supported in the montessori method and I felt right at home. This is where I am now, working as a nanny and studying children through the montessori method. I'm writing this blog to keep myself inspired and motivated. To share what I learn and note down thoughts and moments of my day to day life.
